Dextrous is new to the C-Philbrick family and Vermont.....born in Texas, he raced in Florida....CHECK OUT OUR BELOW COST SALE ON THE SHOPPING CART...we are trying to make space for this very large greyhound and he would be happier if we adopted another young x-racer to rough house with....

BetsyVtHorsy 3294 Camels Hump Road Duxbury, VT 05676Over 10 years ago, we adopted two Mustangs, one of whom, Hum, has worked hard teaching us to communicate in his language. He and Posh also aimed us to find or make comfortable well tuned equipment and tack...as that is another place where communication can break down and be confusing to horse or human. And of course they are short backed and have narrow but deep chests like a deer.And it is easier to fit a rope halter, treeless saddle .....Out of this education has come BetsyVtHorsy.calm. Basically founded by Betsy and Hum C-Philbrick. We, Phish Posh and Bob C-Philbrick were drafted to pose and tote. Actually, my job was to find double braided sailing rope that would work comfortably and easily.
I (Betsy) have always been a natural, natural (barefoot, both me and all my horses ), mounting and leading on either side , riding w/halters etc but I would like to "thank" Linda Tellingon-Jones for her method of 2 people walking a horse, one on each side....the mustangs really needed this and I bet my childhood anglo-arab would have been more comfortable with strangers if I had thought of it...I purchased Liza Jane when she was 18 mos. old and I never did get her to be comfortable arround strangers, she also wouldn't eat sugar but thought dates were good in her older years...learned that the winter she came in the house after an arguement with a Maine moose, but that's a different story. After living with Liza Jane and my not being able to find a replacement after her death at 34 years - Bob suggested the mustangs and I'm glad he did.....of course after our Saluki of 13 years died and we couldn't replace her we ended up with a house full of greyhounds and that worked so I guess there was precedence.
